McCarty is a young professional freelance artist based in Boston. They graduated Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a Bachelor's Degree in Horn Performance in May 2025. There, McCarty studied under Eli Epstein, previous Second Horn of the Cleveland Orchestra. Recently, they performed Principal Horn on Beethoven's Ninth Symphony at Carnegie Hall for the United Nation's General Assembly's 80th Anniversary celebration. McCarty enjoy a range of music, from classical to musical theater pit music. They are passionate about a freelance and chamber music career and are interested in gender equity in the brass field.
