About the Artist
Cameron McCarty is a young professional freelance artist based in Boston. They graduated from Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a Bachelor's Degree in Horn Performance in May 2025, earning the Presser Undergraduate Scholar Award. This fall, McCarty is continuing their education with a Graduate Performance Diploma at Boston Conservatory, where they continue to study with Eli Epstein, former Second Horn of the Cleveland Orchestra. A notable performance was serving as Principal Horn for the United Nations general assembly 80th anniversary celebration at Carnegie Hall, where they performed Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. McCarty is an active freelancer and enjoy performing with their brass quintet, B-Line Brass. In their free time, McCarty enjoys attending Boston Symphony Orchestra concerts, playing chamber music with their friends, and reading mystery books.
