About the Artist

Cameron McCarty is a young professional freelance musician based in Boston. They graduated from Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a Bachelor's Degree in Horn Performance in 2025, earning the Presser Undergraduate Scholar Award. There, they studied with Eli Epstein, retired second horn of the Cleveland Orchestra. Recently, McCarty served as Principal Horn for the United Nations general assembly 80th anniversary celebration at Carnegie Hall, where they performed Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. McCarty is an active freelancer, frequently performing with groups such as Ringers Brass and the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra. In their free time, McCarty enjoys attending Boston Symphony Orchestra concerts, playing chamber music with their friends, and reading mystery books.
